  1. 7 checks and maintenance of hydraulic press to keep them running at peak performance

1.1. The oil used in the hydraulic press must be strictly filtered before it is injected into the oil tank. Use No. 32 hydraulic oil (or mechanical oil) in winter and No. 46 hydraulic oil in summer.

1.2. The oil temperature in the tank should be between 10~60℃ during the working process, if the oil temperature is too high then the work should be stopped, wait for the oil temperature to cool down and then work again to avoid damaging the oil pump and seals.

1.3. The oil must be kept clean and replaced every six months, the first use should not exceed 2 months, if the oil has not deteriorated, it can continue to be used after fine filtration, the oil filter in the oil tank should be cleaned regularly.

1.4. often keep the surface of the column and piston rod clean, and inject oil no less than four times per shift.

1.5. Check the high-pressure pipeline every day, if there is leakage, it should be eliminated in time, and any irregularities found during work should be stopped for inspection and repair.

1.6. Regularly check whether the oil pump, valve, pressure gauge and oil filter are working normally, and the pressure gauge should be calibrated once every six months.

1.7. When the hydraulic press is out of use for a long time, the processing surface should be cleaned and coated with anti-rust oil, and the table should be supported with equal height (pillow or cushion).

2.  9 operating instructions of hydraulic press

2.1. If you do not understand the structure, performance and operating procedures of the hydraulic press, you should not start the hydraulic press without permission.

2.2. It is strictly forbidden to carry out maintenance or adjust the mould during the working process or in the case of starting pressure.

2.3. When the hydraulic press finds abnormal conditions (such as unreliable action, vibration, noise, etc.), it must be stopped and unloaded, disconnected from the power supply for maintenance, and is not allowed to work with “disease”.

2.4. It is strictly forbidden for the ram to work beyond the maximum stroke (the height of the mould closure must not be less than 120 mm), nor must the bias load be too large (the maximum bias load must not exceed 30 mm).

2.5. When the ram is working, it is strictly forbidden to put the hand or head into the effective area of the working table.

2.6. It is strictly forbidden to tighten pipe joints and nuts with high pressure when the hydraulic press is working.

2.7. Check the stroke switches and safety protection devices frequently to ensure that the machine works reliably.

2.8. When adjusting molds or repairing under the slider, the slider must be supported by a cushion and prohibit increasing pressure to prevent the slider from slipping and to ensure safety.

2.9. The support of the slider of this hydraulic press is achieved by the primary support valve port 2.3 and secondary support valve port 2.5 together. The normal operating pressure of the support valve is adjusted to support the weight of the slider and the mould. Both the primary and secondary support valve ports must be securely closed during shutdown and should be checked regularly. When the no-load slow speed of the ram is greater than 15 mm/s. This indicates that the secondary support valve is too loosely adjusted or that the valve is damaged. The hydraulic press is in an unsafe condition and must be stopped for inspection and troubleshooting.
